Paula Pinheiro is in the final year of her Ph.D. at University of Aveiro under the supervision of Professor Tito Trindade. Previously, she received her bachelor’s degree (2009) in biochemistry and her master’s degree (2011) in inorganic chemistry under the supervision of Professor Tito Trindade at the University of Aveiro (Portugal). She subsequently undertook postgraduate studies at the same university under the supervision of Professor Tito Trindade with a research project focusing on the development of polymer-based nanocomposites as substrates for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). Currently, her research interests are mainly focused on the synthesis of nanocomposites for the uptake of pollutant from water and its detection by SERS.
